This application is owned and operated by Congent Education (“we”, “us”), Peek House, 20 Eastcheap, London, EC3M 1EB, United Kingdom.
It is used by The Boleyn Trust to carry out finance assurance. The Boleyn Trust is the data controller for the school and finance information held in the app; Congent Education operates the app on its behalf.
Account details: your name, email address, role and (for school users) your school.
Finance information: uploaded finance packs, figures, variances, reviews, notes and generated analysis.
Files you upload: documents and school/Trust logos.
Saved software sign-ins: any username/password you choose to store for a finance tool. These are access-controlled and visible only to you.
Technical data: sign-in activity and logs used to keep the service secure.
To provide the service: managing assurance reviews, analysing finance packs, generating reports and answering finance questions.
To keep accounts secure and to support you when you ask for help.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
When you use the Finance Assistant or pack analysis, the relevant finance data is processed by a trusted third-party AI provider to generate summaries and answers.
Answers are grounded in your own data. Your data is not used to train the provider’s public models.
To benchmark a school, the app retrieves pupil numbers from Get Information about Schools (GIAS) and spend comparisons from the DfE Financial Benchmarking and Insights Tool. These are public government services.
Data is held in secure cloud infrastructure. Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing.
Saved sign-ins are only ever shown to the person who saved them; administrators can see who has saved a sign-in, but never the password.
Information is kept for as long as needed for finance assurance and in line with The Boleyn Trust’s retention policy.
We share information only with service providers who help us run the app (such as hosting and AI processing) under appropriate agreements, and where required by law.
Under UK data protection law you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, or object to or restrict its processing.
To exercise these rights contact the Central Finance Team, or Congent Education for technical matters. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
